How to remove a rusty bulb?
I have a broken bulb. I tried to unscrew the bulb when it burned, but the glass bulb separated from the metal base. Now I come from the metal base of the bulb screwed into the socket. I tried the potato trick, but it did not work. The metal base of the bulb is rusted in place for well I can not unscrew it. It will not budge. How can I weaken the grip of rust so I can remove the base of the bulb?
The metal base of the bulb is done is usually quite mild. If you use a pair of long nose pliers (with the power to your main switch), you should be able bending the son screw base away from the facility, which will allow you to delete the database. If rust has really solidly frozen, you can have no other choice than replacing the entire facility. Rust does not allow a good electrical contact between the bulb and mounting!
