Should I cancel the new TV?
He recently bought a plasma TV and im having mounted on my wall. When I told people where I'm editing, they told me it could be a problem for television. I want to mount it on a radiator, but it has a lid. I have an LCD TV there now and it hasn't hurt it at all and im not very technologically illierate and I know the heat can damage it but not in direct contact and it wont be that i hotter VCR and a Blu-ray below it ... I was just curious any thougts.
It depends on how hot it will get to where the TV is mounted. Heat rises and if the TV is just above the radiator, then the hot air can be sucked into the whole. This will not damage the game right away and you can not even see effects for a couple of years. All electronics generate heat and heat must be dissipated. If you introduce air heated at all then you are stressing the elements more than necessary. However, if the lid of the radiator can dissipate heat around the room before you can access all then I do not see a problem.
