DTV, DVB-T or ATSC: the world is really ready for the transition to digital television?
Gil Scott Heron famous once said that the revolution will not be televised.
It is funny when in the world of television there is a revolution and, if nothing is done to inform people about what digital television is done, then there will be a group of people without any TV signal at all.
What is worse, the e-commerce operators, wholesale dropship electronics suppliers and retailers will probably be those eBay which must be taken in the crossfire.
It is true that the world is in the midst of a transition to digital television. Broadcasters spend gradually from analogue to digital television. VHF TV signals UHF DVB-T, ATSC, ISDB-T and DMB.
Scandinavia and northern Europe has begun the transition to DVB-T in 2003, where they finished in 2007.
The United States began the transition from NTSC ATSC in 2007 and should be completed in February 2009.
The majority of early adapters started to set in motion to change between 2007 DTV and 2009. They are supposed to completely cut off analog broadcasts in 2012.
But the average Joe and Josephine ready for the transition to digital more?
Retailers and research trends observers are beginning to suspect this is not the case.

It is perhaps not surprising that people are so confused.
