Rancho shocks (the RS9000 to be precise) were innovative pieces of engineering because they were the first shock of having valve adjustable manual. This gave the pilot control 100% of the parameters of shock, but the valve was physically located on the shock body. This meant that the vehicle must be stopped so the driver to get out and crawl under the vehicle to manually adjust each shock. Of course, all process could be done in under 90 seconds, but it must be repeated each time the driver would adjust the shocks. This task was heavy with many drivers leaving their impact on a parameter for all driving conditions which essentially defeats the purpose of having adjustable dampers. The solution to this was a car remote control allowing adjustment of the shocks while the vehicle was moving.

Rather than mount a front gauges and air pressure dashboard of the vehicle, the remote myRIDE is a hand-held unit has a size comparable to a modern cell-phone days. It can be stored in the glove box or clipped to the visor. And instead of analog dials to display the current settings of the shock, the remote has myRIDE a digital display with accurate readings. In addition, RS999705 myRIDE provides remote diagnostics automatic system so if it detects that the air pressure to one of the shocks has changed, it instantly brings them back to set the driver if the latter themselves.
It is not necessary to use RS999705 remotely with the new line of Rancho QuickLift myRIDE RS9000XL and shock. They are compatible with the older RS99701 in the cab remote control because, admittedly, does not cover all the needs in wireless technology when it comes to off-road. If you are on a budget or you are building a platform off-road that does not require state-of-the-art innovation and installation of remote RS999705 myRIDE wireless, you can always opt for RS99701 remote cabin and use it seamlessly with your shocks or RS9000XL QuickLift.
