Digital Signage: Do not Forget About Projectors
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the display Digital? If it is a flat screen LCD or plasma screen hanging in a public place like a retail store, corporate lobby or a museum, you would not alone. For most digital signage networks within these two display technologies dominate the landscape.
But they are not the only solution, and in some cases, they might not even be the best solution or the more affordable. Also appropriate in certain circumstances, Projected images are read by the same type of media server that used to drive liquid crystal and plasma displays.
Projectors offers certain advantages over flat panel displays. For example, in terms of price per square inch of the screen, LCD and plasma screens can not compete. In other words, the projectors, which can produce images much more than the LCDs and plasmas, can be much cheaper than the larger screens courses per square inch of the displayed image.
