Digital Signage: Do not Forget About Projectors
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the display Digital? If it is a flat screen LCD or plasma screen hanging in a public place like a retail store, corporate lobby or a museum, you would not alone. For most digital signage networks within these two display technologies dominate the landscape.
But they are not the only solution, and in some cases, they might not even be the best solution or the more affordable. Also appropriate in certain circumstances, Projected images are read by the same type of media server that used to drive liquid crystal and plasma displays.
Projectors offers certain advantages over flat panel displays. For example, in terms of price per square inch of the screen, LCD and plasma screens can not compete. In other words, the projectors, which can produce images much more than the LCDs and plasmas, can be much cheaper than the larger screens courses per square inch of the displayed image.
In addition, the projectors can create images of places or unexpected ways that are bound not attract the attention of those nearby. For example, some projectors can be used to project on the fog to create an ethereal look that not everything can be recreated with flat panels.
Traditionally, the lights have not been widely used in applications Digital signage for at least two important reasons. Firstly, there is the problem with the ambient light is high. Under conditions of full light, the relatively dim light cast withers, creating a washed-out look, at best, and at worst just a picture unviewable. Another classic objection to the use of projectors for digital signage is the relatively narrow range from which they can work to create images of plumb and square. In retail, where a store owner do not want that the public accidentally come in contact with the projector, working in the projection range used can often be nearly impossible. This does not mean that the headlights are not built with circuits for correcting trapezoidal images, but rather that the investment option in a retail may be outside the area where the correction will work.
Fortunately for those who wish to consider as a realistic alternative projection screens dishes, the traditional boundaries of high ambient light projectors and projector-investment restrictions are void.

However, these engines can make the geometric distortion necessary repairs, and in some cases, give these users high degree of control that the images can actually be wrapped around cylinders or globes.
Will replace LCD video projectors and plasma screens that display the dominant technology in the digital signage networks? Probably not. However, given the progress rapid technology to overcome their limitations for digital signage networks, it is a smart idea for anyone planning a network digital display to examine how the projectors can be significant.
