What are the perfect calibration settings on a Panasonic TH-50PX80U plasma?

I just bought a Panasonic TH-50PX80U plasma tv, and seems solid, but I am not convinced that I have the calibration parameters of right (eg, image brightness, color, tint, etc.). Please can anyone share their experience and / or point me to a website that is a good resource for what it?

Nobody can really tell you with certainty what the settings should be like all models - even those in the same line products of the same model - will not look exactly the same in. .. 1. certain conditions of observation 2. depending on the settings menu of the plant. There are no strict guidelines for engineers to calibrate by - everything is self - If the best way to properly calibrate your set at home is ... 1. Buy a calibration disc - such as AVIA or Digital Video Essentials. 2. Engaging an expert professional calibration. A lot of parameters that others have developed to the best picture you will probably be a really good reproduction on your game - but there is no way to GUARATEE that it will be perfect. If I had the same set and we put the same settings on both side by side - in May they still look different, really. Hope this helps. I'll try to find something on the optimal settings just to get you started (a guideline, essentially) and that should certainly help, but may not be accurate. IRT Gilles99 [[ "Whatever you do with the settings, make sure you turn the living image of the last normal or a theater. "]] Exactly - this is part of the break-in period. Good calibration you should set the amount of light output - also - what would in fact be a way to change these settings, anyway ... or change the settings manually for each mode so that changing the default mode does would not matter. I should have mentioned that television should be in Standard or Cinema / Studio Reference mode for a minimum of first 100 hours, but preferably 150 to first 200 hours to help reduce the persistence in the future. This is just a guideline, however, as you can effectively change the settings for each picture mode to be equivalent. In addition, it is obviously preferable to wait for a good calibration on television after the break-in period has been exercised. Also, allow television to be in place for at least 20 to 30 minutes before calibrating (if you do so) to enable it to "warm up". [[Vivid burn forward the first 200 hours ".]] This is not true. The break-in period helps to reduce ghosting in the future and keep the phosphors aging so quickly - it does mean that it will "burn-in (which is the wrong terminology, btw) in the first 200 hours. Burn in is different from image retention. There is some confusion over terminology. The term image retention where an image is temporarily "burned" on the screen - usually mitigated by the vision of normal in a short period of time. Screen burn is when it is permanently fixed on the screen and must be repaired to correct. The Burn-in is a period of testing during the switch sets manufacturing to help determine the failure rate - including Panasonic has the lowest, btw less than 2%. [[ "Always make sure you have the zoomed image at all times and also never let the images and never left on the screen to break. "]] This, it is not completely true. You can leave images on the screen as long as not more than 15% of the week display Later break-in period. The week of observation is based on an average of 7 hours usage a day - if at 49 hours, 15% is equivalent to about 7.5 hours. A few times, honestly. [[ "I called Panasonic and they told me to go deep to the normal or the theatrical and Other items were simply a matter of personal taste. I do not know about DVD calibration, I just do not find I need them "]] It's a bit ironic that these statements SEEM intended to contradict almost mine when it is quite possible that I may have been the one you mentioned with when you called Otherwise, I agree entirely. The parameters of the image must be a matter of personal taste and many people too caught up in the game benchmarking busy to make any "exact". The DVDs are only making things worse. Put it this way - television are calibrated on the box. Cinema / ref studio. modes are calibrated to make the image look as close as possible to reference monitors used in studios for professional video editing. Other than some minor adjustments needed to suit your requirements - it is a exact reproduction of it. In the case of calibration, the service is done to get your picture looking as close as possible to that which meets the standards. However, you may not like the way the image is when it meets the standards - which explains why the settings are adjustable, anyway. If the calibration is supposed to be the way the Almighty for the best picture and, ideally, all manufacturers have built their sets to comply completely - then what would point to include the same adjustments? Of course now I'm rambling. Otherwise, good advice Gilles there and thank you for the support Panasonic.
